Mentoring

Why?

Roles in sustainability and climate change pose an above-average risk of burnout and moral injury.

Many people want to dedicate their energy to create a regenerative future whilst working in a context of permanent overwhelm. This can become damaging to our health and lead us to question everything we once cared about. It doesn’t have to be that way.

What?

Systemically and psychologically informed mentoring is one way of receiving guidance in your movement towards the small islands of coherence in a sea of chaos. Your wounds and the wounds in the culture are not separate. They are inter-connected fractals of a greater whole.

Your vulnerability is not a shortcoming that needs to be fixed or eradicated, but an often unharnessed strength that has the capacity to take us to the edges of the known. That is where true innovation lies.

Mentoring helps you to deepen your attention and to recognise the support and the beauty that are accessible as you forge a path through new territory. This is a form of soul activism, which moves us closer to the rhythms of life. It is an essential step in gesturing towards a healthier collective future.

How?

25 years of experience allow me to meet you where you are as a whole person rather than asking you to fit a particular model. The process is distinct from therapy. Through dreamwork, imaginal exercises, development of personal practices and IFS parts work, I support your own re-wilding journey, a journey of reclamation of what has been exiled in the process of adaptation to an ailing culture.

Sessions are designed to offer sufficient time to explore issues in depth. Meetings last from one to two hours in length, and we meet one or two times a month. We will contract for a series of meetings and then negotiate further work.

Mentoring sessions can be held over phone or Zoom.

Cost?

Mentoring sessions are £150/hour

Groups?

I also work with small groups and teams. Please get in touch for further information.

I also supervise an increasing number of coaches and OD consultants on their journey towards increased climate and ecological awareness.

“When a complex system is far from equilibrium, small islands of coherence in a sea of chaos have the capacity to shift the entire system to a higher order”
